Study visit of Kwina till Kvina at the European Institute for Gender Equality

JCPSU together with several women's organizations from the Western Balkans participated in a study visit to the European Institute for Gender Equality. This visit was organized by Kvina till Kvina under the program “Genderization of the Western Balkans process for EU membership”. Within the framework of this programme, members of several organisations from the Western Balkans visited EUIGE on 27 and 28 June 2018. Participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work and mandate of EIGE as a whole and cooperation with the first EU member states, methods and mechanisms of gender integration, the EIGE Index for Gender Equality, the Gender Statistics Database and communication.

Regional Programme for the Western Balkans; “Gendering the Western Balkans process for EU membership”is a five-year program funded by SIDA and implemented by Kwina till Kvina in cooperation with local women's rights organizations in the Western Balkans. The program includes Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. The overall objective of the programme is to improve women's rights and equal participation of women in decision-making through the existing EU accession process. Empowering civil society through women's organizations is an added value of the program.
