Advancing diversity in the labour market as a prerequisite for dignified work for all

This project will directly address key forms of discrimination in the labour market such as gender-based discrimination and racial discrimination. On the one hand, the project will immediately address the high unemployment rate among young Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian women through the Internship Programme. In turn, the JCPC will work closely with the public and private sectors and produce policies and initiatives aimed at eliminating discrimination in the labor market. The project will strive to achieve the following specific objectives:

  1. Increasing the participation of young Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian women in the labour market.
  2. Dealing with sexual harassment in the workplace in the private sector.
  3. Raising awareness of gender and racial discrimination in the workplace.
  4. Pushing forward “diversity policies at the state level and in the private sector.
  5. Improving cooperation between the private sector and NGOs.
