Empowerment and social justice for Roma women

Supporting employment and raising awareness of minority rights among rights-holders and duty bearers enhances the self-determination and equality of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian women in their communities and in society.

A long-term goal of the project development is for Roma women and girls to enjoy full rights and opportunities in their communities and society more broadly. More specifically, this means that girls and women have a better social status in Kosovo society. They have better educational attainment, increased capacity to be employed, and more equal status in decision-making and as members of the community. This also means that anti-Gypsyism in Kosovo has decreased.
